Though I would certainly question Joe-the-Plumbers credentials as a reporter of news from the Mid-East (You do gotta know what to look for and know what’s interesting to report on), there’s also little doubt that way too many television reporters appear out of touch with the news, and in some cases, reality. Now I seem to refer to all of MSNBC….

I took members of the Society of American Travel Writers on a historic walk around Downtown Orlando. The photo is of two of the attendees looking at an exhibit put together by a group I’m with, Orlando Remembered. Orlando Remembered puts toether displays that reflect what once stood where the building stands that has the display. Click here to learn more. Beside the photo is a sketch of the top of the Firestone building in Downtown Orlando.

Another excellent Ken Culotta gag! Another so-so drawing of George W. I’ve never felt I got the hang of drawing him.
January 5, 2009 – Birthday Bowling & Accident!
by Rob Smith, Jr. on Jan.05, 2009, under What's New?
My fathers only request for his birthday was to go bowling and get a bite at Steak ‘N Shake. So off we went to Winter Park Bowl where we met old friend James Saunders. Bowling started off well with my father bowling strikes and spares. Then an employee at the alley asked if we owned a station wagon. I said I did. He then apologized for hitting it with his truck. It was a mess. Glass everywhere. see the photo below. The fellow had front end parked and backed out very quickly and into my car. He was very nice about it. Above is a sketch of the police officer working on the situation in his car.

Later we did make it to Steak ‘N Shake. We just kept an eye on the car with a missing window and a door that wouldn’t lock.
