July 2nd, 2015 – My Color Version of the Creature in the Woods!

by on Jul.02, 2015, under Cartooning, Swampy's Florida

Here’s the color version of the drawing I posted last night!

Trilby is strolling through the woods to a picnic and is bothered by an intruding alien & his transportation device. The lone extraterrestrial inquires as to the nearest burger joint. Trilby points the way to the The Burger Inn, though, in truth, he’s not quite sure where he is at the moment.

June 25th, 2015 – Swampy’s Florida History Talk!

by on Jun.25, 2015, under Florida History!, Swampy's Florida

Gave a talk today in Dunnellon of local and statewide Florida heroes. It was one of my typical full-of-energy free-for-alls. Had a great crowd! Even signed/drew in some Swampy’s Florida Dunnellon books!

I drew many things. Including the elusive Florida Long-Tailed Flying Gargoyle.

I’m giving more talks in the next month in Marion and Pasco Counties. I’ll post more next week! Maybe some of you all can come!

October 28th, 2014 – New artwork: Ballet in a Florida Forest

by on Oct.28, 2014, under Illusration, Swampy's Florida, What's New?

Here’s one of my newest watercolor paintings to join the Swampy’s Florida lineup. At a suggestion by a friend I added a tutu to a Florida black bear and got a character Barishnikov would want to team with.

This is a watercolor painting and will be available soon as a Swampy’s Florida print.

This is the finished color art for an upcoming Swampy’s Florida product. There’s a bit more to this, but I’m leaving that for the Swampy’s Florida page. Look for it there.

August 3rd, 2014 – On the Drawing board – Swampy Characters.

by on Aug.04, 2014, under Cartooning, Swampy's Florida

Time for me to get back to “On the Drawing Board”. Sure motivated me to get more artwork done. This is for the Swampy website to help explain the characters. Been meaning to do this for a long time and a conversation with friend Cheryl Otero and listening in on motivator Bob “The Teacher” got me to set some other art aside and get this done. First met Bob over five years ago during the great Ken MacArthur’s motivating conference.

Clcik here to see where I used this artwork on the Swampy’s Florida website.
