A tie! The first in a year! The judges could not agree. A battle ensued. Forces came in from the right. Forces came in from the left. The days wore on until the dust settled and a tie was determined. No one was injured in the battle except for the two in the photo above. :)
Jim Fern wrote that the photo above is of Basil Rathbone, but from his turn in the old ‘Philo Vance’ series, not ‘Sherlock Holmes’.

    Man with cane. (let’s call him Rick): As you can see Officers, this man still has his eye glasses in his pocket. He didn’t intentionally kill this other man. It was an accident…….he couldn’t see the target well enough.
    Case closed.
    Officer: Or it could have been the glare from all the gold buttons on his suit!
    Rick: Yes, could have been. Both surely an accident. Dreadful suit.
    Officer: Ok, case closed!
