Last event before December!
This one a baby shower. I usually refuse these, but went with this one in Mount Dora a couple months ago so I could see friends.
The work load has gotten the better of me and I’m heading straight home.
Turned out to be a pretty good group. I’ll add cations to each photograph.

Roy Clark’s Death – November 15th, 2018
by Rob Smith, Jr. on Nov.15, 2018, under What's New?
I’m sorry to learn of Roy Clark’s death.
It was seeing as a young person an episode of Carson, or some such, that Clark performed playing banjo, guitar, mandolin, fiddle, etc. in various styles. His amazing ability struck me that one can do many things, not just one. Which likely helps explain my involvement in cartooning, history, politics, etc.
Often i wonder why I’m off in so many directions. Memories of Roy Clark’s brilliance of handling his crafts keep me reaching to his heights.
(Art work by Jack Davis from a TV Guide cover he did back in 1973)
Driving back into Florida and a stop at the Welcome Center!
by Rob Smith, Jr. on Oct.21, 2018, under What's New?
Wandering back into Florida and did a Swampy stop at the Florida Welcome Center along 95. Of course, I found myself helping folks finding places and how to get around Florida.
🙂
Was I surprised to see one of the brochures I did for VISIT FLORIDA still on the shelf! I’m real proud to have been a part of various Visit Florida projects.
There was also another brochure there with artwork I did years ago for Glades County Economic Development Commission.

Last week Bryan Williams contributed Lake Okeechobee. In my running around, I turned that into The Everglades. Here I correct that.

#Inktober #10
Bryan Williams contributed Lake Okeechobee as a Florida location for Swampy and his friends.
Feel free to suggest a Florida location below.
I just drove through there Monday and needed no reference to draw the river of grass with Swampy amking his way through with Ortona, the egret, Trilby taking to water. Zuber and Alva hitch a ride.
Inked with a Kuretake and Pentel Stylo.
