Happy Halloween, all!

by on Oct.31, 2017, under Cartooning, Editorials

This is a cartoon I did years ago for publication involving one of my favorite characters from a contemporary book series, Mitch Rapp, by VinceFlynn.com and Kyle Mills and published by Atria Books.

My fellow book fans, if you haven’t read a Mitch Rapp book, jump in! That includes you, Gloria Neiger Bushong! šŸ™‚ I’m usually carrying a few copies of Rapp books in my car, so if you cross my path in my travels, ask me and I’ll give you one!

#DailyInks #12 – Inking a College Professor – November 12th, 2015

by on Nov.12, 2015, under Cartooning, Editorials

2015-1112-DailyInks-MelissaClick

Thought I’d add a small bit of an editorial cartoon i did tonight. This is the now infamous Melissa Click of the University of Missouri. I’m posting this involving producing the art and not the politics.

Inked with a Kuretake brush, she was easy to draw. Coloring even easier. Drawing so many family members who have red, curly hair over the decades, this was easy! So, I include the color version used in the final cartoon, too.

If you would like to see the whole cartoon, let me know below or in a private message and I’ll send you over to my editorial cartoon Facebook page. I’ve kept it kinda quiet, but you can join in, if you would like.

Happy Halloween – from Mitch Rapp! – October 31st, 2015

Thought I would share this cartoon I drew in 2009. Many know I’m kinda-sorta an all out book nut. One book espionage series I love is the Vince Flynn series of espionage thrillers featuring, American hero, Mitch Rapp. This cartoon was for my home base for editorial cartoons that was having the author on to promote his book. Each Halloween since, the publishers of Mitch Rapp are so kind as to resend out this cartoon.

Since this cartoon came out, unfortunately Flynn has died. The series is just restarting this week with another author I’m very familiar with, Kyle Mills (author). Mills is great and I’m really looking forward to the new adventures of Mitch Rapp!

February 12th, 2014 ā€“ What Iā€™m Drawing: Shirley Temple!

by on Feb.12, 2014, under Caricatures, Cartooning, Celebrity Illustrations, Editorials

2014-0212-ShirleyTemple

Here’s my latest editorial cartoon drawn today reflecting from a true media legend, Shirley Temple. Temple died this past Sunday at the age of 85. We will NEVER see someone like Tmple again. Society won’t allow it, as many other things are censored and not allowed. The cartoon above is speaking to our narrow view of the world today.

Because I keep politics out of the web of this website, this is a pantomime performance of these cartooned characters set up for this week’s editorial cartoon. Feel free to caption this yourself below!

This was penciled on paper, inked the same, scanned and colored.

When worlds collide! – I usually never post any of my editorial cartoons here , or anything political for that matter, on this personal page. But since this is a bit innocuous, I figure I can post this one.

What if the problems with the TSA could have been seen in the past?

Here’s a rare posting of one of my editorial cartoons here, just cause it ain’t all that controversial. šŸ™‚ That and my editorial cartoon blog is not working right now due to a delayed reaction to a move from one server to another.

If you feel brave, you can click here and visit a slew more of my editorial cartoons at Glenn Beck’s site.
