Here’s my #Inktober #23 illustration: W.C. Fields & his kumquat farm & trouble!

by on Oct.24, 2020, under Cartooning, Illusration

Here’s my #Inktober #23 illustration!
W.C. Fields tells of trouble while tending his kumquat farm in Homosassa.

Drawn live during the ‘Man in the Swamp Report’ a bit earlier today on my Swampy’s Florida page.

Illustrating the tale Stuart Kaminsky wrote of W.C. Fields owning a kumquat farm until the alligators took over.
All written in the outrageous style W.C. Fields was known to tell tales. including factual details as the farm being near “Homosassa”.

Kaminsky did a terrific job of including the short tale in a large story of trekking the US so Fields can retrieve his money from various banks as bad guys were stealing it just ahead of him. This book is part of a 24 book series. Each features a major celebrity in Hollywood that hire P.I., Toby Peters.

If you’d like to read Kaminky’s book, you can purchase it here:

The watercolor version is $35
to the first who sends a request.
Later $50 on Etsy.
