Here are a few caricatures I drew last Wednesday.

Found these items in the last few minutes! A 2 dollar bill, a City of Orlando envelope with 17 cents in it , an Atlantic Bank envelope and a Sun Bank envelope with foreign currency in it from when I used to collect it during my caricature days in the 1980s.

I drew this for Diana Pittiger and the Simon and Simon Fan Club of the character, Rick Simon, from the television series of the 1980’s, ‘Simon and Simon’.

Friend & writer Kathy Hagood was posting about flowers blooming and the flowers have been blooming around the house here. So, I went outside to take some photos of the blooms, but found this fellow instead buzzing around.

It’s a dragon party with special hors d’oeuvres. Sometimes when snacking on the local human population it takes couple of tries to find the right dip.

The word of the week for Illustration Friday in ‘Dip’ and here is a drawing for that. During my UStream drawing session last Monday Jared Sloger threw in the word ‘Dragon’ to add to the mix. The result is above. Below is the recording of the drawing of the art.

Here a chicken comes to the rescue of her eggs. Thus, a quick illustration to fit the Illustration Friday word of the week, ‘Rescue’.

I attended a rodeo Friday and sketched pages in the sketch pad.

I attended a 3-D showing of ‘The Creature from the Black Lagoon’ on March 16th, 2010. I had a great time visiting with friends I was surprised to run into there, Paula Large, Jerry Darkey, Priscilla Rose, Dan Stapleton, etc. I got to finally meet Holly and Dolly of ‘Holly and Dolly’s Bar and Grill in Casselberry. The twins were also former dancers at Church Street Station and mermaids at Weeki Wachee. To the left is a sketch of someone at the theater.

The best part of the film viewing is that Ginger Stanley attended. Ms. Stanley was the stand-in for Julia Adams in ‘The Creature from the Black Lagoon’. She spoke before and after the film about her experiences in the film and answered questions. After the viewing she was outside the theater greeting fans and signing autographs, which she did for hours. Below is the autograph and below that is a photo of Ms. Stanley and myself.

I went to a Rodeo this past weekend and got a chance to really work on my ability to draw horses. Above are a few sketches from more than 20 pages of sketches.
