by Rob Smith, Jr. on Jul.02, 2017, under Caricatures
Been whipping up some life coaching caricatures in Cocoa Beach, Florida, Saturday for a private event.
One fellow asked about old friend Greg Gray. We both spoke of missing Greg, since he moved to Minnesota last year, and the fantastic magic he does with charcoal!

The folks with the event last night were very kind to have me in a hotel in Tampa. So, today I spent the day working on a special illustration for, the emcee last night, Niger Innes, finally finishing the painting of a couple and two Swampy’s Florida celebration cartoons.
Most were done in the near little seating area of Alessi Bakeries in Tampa. Got one of their fantastic sandwiches and went to work!
Cartoon Gratitude to Niger Innis for his work making the Hillsborough Lincon Dinner a success and the great conversation I had with him.
GOP Lincoln Dinner Fun in Tampa – June 9th, 2017
by Rob Smith, Jr. on Jun.09, 2017, under Caricatures
Had a great night drawing some life coaching drawings and spending time with some great folks in Tampa tonight!
This is the powerhouse of a lady that made it all happen! Deborah put together the 2017 Lincoln Dinner with only weeks to do it due to the scheduling of the great Dr. Ben Carson.
Robbin howled with laughter at her drawing depicting the many travels in barges she’s made with her husband.
Elizabeth really spelled out to me how her heart and soul is put into the causes she works in.
I got to meet and speak at length with Niger Innis, the emcee of the nights event and celebrated political activist. — at TPepin’s Hospitality Centre.
Carey is really a Florida girl fishing off the shore or the bridge in Matlacha, near Fort Myers. Hunting is also a passion. — at TPepin’s Hospitality Centre.
Jamey’s job protects us from the super bad guys out there! — at TPepin’s Hospitality Centre.
Got a chance again to say Hello to Adam Putnam! His speech tonight was perfect! The crowd loved him! — at TPepin’s Hospitality Centre.

Among the paintings I’m behind with due to too many difficulties last year is this of Seminole Wars Naval reenactor Kim Ceullers. Kim travels around, in between his work, and speaks and re-enacts various times in 1800s America. He was a speaker for a museum I’ve been involved with. This is a Thank You for his speaking.

A successful night Friday night during Champions for Champions Fun, Dine, Wine and Giving Night. Much was raised through the dinner, silent auction and other fund raising activities, including some raised by my doing some drawing.
Champions for Champions mission “is to enrich family lives and values through providing and facilitating educational, sports, music, and life skill programs for people with special needs.”
Life Coaching Caricatures: Bill the Piano player & Painting Nancy! – April 2nd, 2017
by Rob Smith, Jr. on Apr.05, 2017, under Caricatures, Illusration
I had the opportunity to meet Bill at an event near Spring hill & Weeki Wachee, Florida on Sunday. I met him as he played Stardust and a medley from The Phantom of the Opera. He complained that he missed notes. Sounded great to me. Especially for a fellow of 94 years. Bill drove a tractor trailer most of his career in Canada after his family moved him from England as a teen.
Here’s the watercolor illustration i did of 80 year young Nancy, the birthday girl, who was being honored at the party.
Life coaching caricatures! in Tampa – June 2nd, 2017

A few images of the life coaching caricatures I did at an event Saturday night in Tampa, Florida.
Back in February I figured I’d been posting too many of these event photos and figured I should hold off a bit before posting more. Well, a good 15 events later, here are some more.
The first photo is of Rhoda, who is 3 generations Native Floridian from Tampa in one side of family and 5 generations Native Floridian from around Monticello on the other side. I’m going to help her plan a family reunion near Orlando to see Orange County history and not have folks running off to the kiddie amusement parks.
The next image is of Rhoda’s husband who’s training ng as a boxer includes the 5th Street Gym in Miami. How about that, Tom Orr!
Former classmates and drawings at a Victory Party! – November 8th, 2016

It was great to see Lynette & Suzette Duncan Weddington at a party Tuesday night. I think the last time the three of us were together was during a play we did at Edgewater High School, ‘Dirty Work at the Crossroads’. Unlike myself, Lynette and Suzette have not changed a bit. Stephen Orth, who played the dastardly bad guy, likely remembers that triumph of us thespians! 😀
Otherwise, I volunteered my bit of humorous illustrative life coaching.

Was part of a marriage rehearsal Saturday north of St Augustine.
Very honored to meet Bob who started with a mere 20 cents and built a construction company through great work and effort, something that escapes too may today. His company eventually was bought by the Orlando based Hubbard Construction Company. His family is still working for Hubbard, now owned by corporations outside our country.
Rich loves orchids of all kinds, especially bromeliads, and hopes to meet Clyde Butcher someday and purchase a few prints of Clyde’s photography. I told him what great folks Clyde and Nikki are and get on down to Venice, Florida, and say ‘Hello’! Also, he needs to plan a trip to the Fakahatchee Strand to see the elusive Ghost Orchid. You can visit Clyde’s amazing work here on Facebook by clicking here: Clyde Butcher
Troy is part of the historically significant Mickens family in West Palm Beach. He had been part of the also historic New Bethel Church, but has recently gone on to start a new church where he is pastor. Had a few moments to talk Palm Beach County history with Troy and hope I can meet with him in West Palm Beach and get a personal tour of the historic churches.
Saturday it’s a trip to Titusville to perform for a wedding at a BAKERY! They better hide the cookies!
