Newest Watercolor painting completed. – April 17th, 2017

by on Apr.17, 2017, under Caricatures, Illusration

Among the paintings I’m behind with due to too many difficulties last year is this of Seminole Wars Naval reenactor Kim Ceullers. Kim travels around, in between his work, and speaks and re-enacts various times in 1800s America. He was a speaker for a museum I’ve been involved with. This is a Thank You for his speaking.

Life Coaching Caricatures: Bill the Piano player & Painting Nancy! – April 2nd, 2017

by on Apr.05, 2017, under Caricatures, Illusration

I had the opportunity to meet Bill at an event near Spring hill & Weeki Wachee, Florida on Sunday. I met him as he played Stardust and a medley from The Phantom of the Opera. He complained that he missed notes. Sounded great to me. Especially for a fellow of 94 years. Bill drove a tractor trailer most of his career in Canada after his family moved him from England as a teen.

Here’s the watercolor illustration i did of 80 year young Nancy, the birthday girl, who was being honored at the party.

My newest painting: Little Girls in a Unicorn Fantasy – August 29th, 2016

by on Aug.29, 2016, under Caricatures, Cartooning, Illusration

2016-0827-Bryce

Here’s a little painting I did for a family and delivered this past weekend. It’s full of unicorns, rainbows and mermaids. A staunch sense of reality is absent here, in case you haven’t discovered that yourself.

Materials used: Watercolor board, watercolor, a bit of color pencil and outlined with various marker brushes.

My painting update! – Tampa Bay pirate gator meets Santa!

by on Aug.11, 2016, under Illusration

2016-0810-Tampa-PirateTrilbyAndSanta

This painting has been lingering as I’ve been tackling a ton of other work. In between going from meeting to meeting to meeting Wednesday, I found myself stuck in a Dairy Queen with a cold smoothie and a wicked storm. Gave me some time to get a bunch of painting done to this. It’s pretty close to finished.

About that pretty typical ‪#‎Florida‬ storm: The lightning spiked all around the building to the point of knocking out the electricity. Some folks inside weren’t used to our Florida rains and the violent crashes of very nearby electricity had a few inside the Dairy Queen screaming. It was just another day in Florida!
