March 21, 2009 – Artwork – Subtraction!
by Rob Smith, Jr. on Mar.21, 2009, under Caricatures, Cartooning, Friends, Illusration
Took a swing at Illustration Friday’s word for the week – ‘Subtract’. I wasn’t going for a gag cartoon. Just something to illustrate a scene. Above is the finished part. Below is the rough pencil, inked with marker to work out towards the final inked lines. Then it was all digitally colored.

Great work. I think it’s funny, even though that wasn’t what you were going for. It’s a great play on the theme.

Right on! This is great. It’s all about the dog who sees and knows exactly what happened to those extra cookies. But, like a true best friend I’m sure he’ll keep the secret. Well done!
P.S. Thanks for the great comment on my blog. I’m sure your wife would really appreciate that sentiment!

Exuberantly wild antics and expressions! Terrific! And to answer your question my stuff is digital. I use Publisher(weird I know),Photoshop and scanned in tetures.
