November 10th, 2007 – Cartoonists & the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse!

During our National Cartoonists Society business meeting, everyone drew a drawing for cartoonist Marty Stein’s daughter who is recovering from injuries from an accident.

After lunch with the Florida Chapter of the National Cartoonists Society in Ponce Inlet, we visited the lighthouse there. Besides the lighthouse are many buildings and the ‘F.D. Russell’ above.Click here to learn more about the lighthouse and park.2007-1110-lighthouse-color.jpg

That evening our Chapter had dinner at The Chart House in Daytona Beach. The speaker was columnist Mark Lane, below.

2007-110910-z-robjose.jpgHere am I after the dinner with one of my teachers from the Joe Kubert School and comic book artist, Jose Delbo. Jose then and now makes sure the horses I draw don’t look like “doggies”.
