During the NCS meeting weekend, some of us take a break for lunch at the Columbia Restaurant at the Pier in St. Petersburg.
Here’s a 10 second sketch of a pelican. I was going to spend a bit more time, but the car that had brought me was brought up and I had to make the sketch brief.

I enjoyed your sketches in this month’s blog, Rob…this was actually the first time I’ve read a blog page, and I found yours to be very enjoyable. You weave a nice feeling of localized Florida discovery that inspires me to sketch more. The gestural drawing of the bird is very nice. I’m glad you kicked that fever.
