December 14th, 2006 – Gig Art!
by Rob Smith, Jr. on Dec.19, 2006, under Caricatures
Amongst the time of an event I was working at, I produced these two pieces to help advertise the product, Princess perfume. I was without a pencil and approached these as I draw caricatures. I thought I only had thick line pens with me. Nearing the end of the bottom drawing I discovered a fine line pen and completed that and then went on to the Santa drawing.Â

The drawings are BRILLANT!!! Rob, your art work is amazing! At 5:00 AM, these drawings make me think. The bottles looks like Vera Wang, who is an amazing wedding dress designer. Why do perfumes always have some type of connection to beautiful people! Jessica Simpson, Britney Spears, Salma Hyek, and now Antionio Bandaras! Are these people an authority on science, chemistry and aromatherapy? Now, it seams like there is less science and more mass celebrity appeal. Buy this and you will become a bride! Buy this and he will think you are beautiful! I will step off my soap box. Right now, I am so tired of Celebrety Marketing. I see it even at Walgreens and CVS! This babbling must be do to lack of sleep (Had to take my 17 year old doogie out at 3:00 AM) but I just thought I would brain dump. Back to the artist, the work is beautiful! The thing I love about art is that in 30 years, the art will still be beautiful! Britney Spears will look like she has been road hard and put away wet…..
