I sell art, and back in the 1980’s , TL, of the Sentinal Star was collecting
art of the 1930’s , old come and see my etchings. Well the story line
on the collection was the newspaper. and its Hard to find. But , one day
I was happy to find a Lithograph of Heywood Broun , at his typewriter,
cig,. hanging from his lip, paper’s stacked high. The Sentinal Star head,
did not know who Heywood Broun was , and did not see the importance.
I then new the world order had changed. People running the show, were,
not from the Newspaper world . And this seems to be happening in all
arena’s of Business. Heywood Broun will always be remembered.
the man who stripped our paper, and made it an advertising supplement……Well, what a memory, crippling our town.
