July 26th, 2015 – My Crazy Original Art Summer Deal!
by Rob Smith, Jr. on Jul.26, 2015, under What's New?
Here’s the deal!
I will create an original watercolor painting based in a Florida park of your choosing (or park nearest to you) with Florida native critters, including ones of your choosing, involved in some scene as in my earlier paintings. I’ll figure out the rest.
$100 for a 16″ x 20″ watercolor painting on Arches watercolor board. (Limit 10)
$50 for a 11″ x 14″ watercolor painting on watercolor paper.
$25 for a 9″ X 12″ watercolor painting on watercolor paper.
This is a reduction of a third or more of what I would usually charge. There is a time limit! I need to do this now while it is so slow and I can take care of bills! This deal is only available between now and Thursday, July 30th!
The limit for the large paintings is 10 orders. Limits for all is when orders for all reach a thousand dollars.
On the back of the Swampy’s Florida prints you will have a special place where you, or your business, is listed as a sponsor of the artwork.
Here’s the problem!
It’s Summertime again and business is coming slowly and the bills have caught up. With a quiet week ahead and bills due, I figure now’s the time to slash prices to raise some fast cash to cover more than a thousand due in bills and car repair issues (THAT won’t surprise those who know my car.).
This also helps another problem: My Swampy’s Florida prints have been in a bit of limbo and are about to be available, along with other Swampy items, easily online. The trouble is that my approach to the prints changed about a year ago to the larger format and there is a distinct difference in how the earlier and newer look. I desperately need to create new 16″ x 20″ paintings right now. The plus for you is that you keep the original and participate in it’s creation!
My goal is to get the artwork done in the next week. Receiving the artwork will depend more on the delivery system. I will need you to help with shipping and I will do my best to hand deliver each piece.
I thank all who can participate in the first time of doing something like this and greatly appreciate the help!
A side note of how this came about: I met the director for Trail Life USA in the area he manages in Florida. He handles a huge section of the state and had driven quite a distance to start another group. He mentioned to me that he had been wanting to get an illustration of a bear playing dulcimer. Here’s a guy to volunteers his time putting together groups of children to better guide their lives. I told him I’d do the artwork for $100. I mentioned it would usually be about $400 or more and said to donate the rest to Trail Life USA. He joked he already had.
Realizing I was low, cash-wise, a few days ago as i delivered the painting below, it occurred to me I could make a similar offer to raise funds. That and I’m needing to create new print artwork immediately. So, the offer is posted!
